Curious

So I have a few questions for all of my theologians and wannabe theologians.

Jesus sent His disciples to heal, cleanse, raise & cast out the lost sheep of Israel, which are some of the miracles that He performed. So now and in the past we have witchcraft, voodoo/hoodoo & other religions/practices (Tribal Priest & Priestess) doing similar things.

What makes what these people doing different than what Jesus told His disciples to do? Does it depend on their hearts and their beliefs? Do we have Christians that are performing similar acts? Do you have to be a child of Israel to perform these miracles? Is it fear that has confused the practices or are they all evil?

“These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”
